Program Notes

Feature four trumpets in this swing-era style work for concert band. Reflect on the '40s, '50s and '60s musically as the trumpets set the stage for grand memories of the big-band sound. The quartet is featured throughout, but the band is equally important with background figures and jazz styled interludes supporting the trumpet quartet throughout. This happy sounding piece will give the audience memories of the big band era with sounds that were so popular years ago.
