Program Notes

This arrangement celebrates the rich heritage of rudimental drumming through the performance of three traditional drum solos that were written over the course of America's growth as a nation. This setting allows a soloist or section of drummers to come front and center and demonstrate their drumming skills.

- Program Note from publisher

Finally a chance for your drummers to shine! This arrangement celebrates the rich heritage of rudimental drumming through the performance of three traditional drum solos: Three Camps, Downfall of Paris, and Hell on the Wabash, all written to celebrate America’s growth as a nation. Originally written for fifes and drums, this new arrangement by Douglas Richards allows these percussive gems to be showcased in a concert band setting.
