Festival Fanfare was written at the request of Dr. Robert H. Klotman, President 1976-1978, Music Educators National Conference, for the opening ceremony of the twenty-sixth MENC National Biennial In-Service Conference held in Chicago, Illinois in April 1978.
Festival Fanfare is dedicated to music education on behalf of MENC.
