Program Notes

Fanfare for Saint Cecilia was commissioned by the Harmonieverein Cäcilia, Henzogenrath, Germany, to celebrate their 150th anniversary of existence in 2008. The premiere took place on October 26, 2008, with the composer conducting.

Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of music and also the name of a church located just outside of Aachen, Germany, where the commissioning band is in residence.
