Program Notes

An impressive piece at this grade level featuring this composer’s signature use of syncopation and mixed meters. A lush and beautiful slow section adds contrast and makes this a solid contemporary composition.

Explorations was commissioned by the 1994 Nebraska "Class D" All-State Band.
