Biography

Eugene Magalif (b. 1957, Vitebsk, Belarus) is Belarusian composer, living in the United States since 1990.

Magalif studied music theory and history/piano/composition at Vitebsk State Musical College. He also graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Music.

Mr. Magalif is the composer of the musical Swineherd, cantata Barmaley, music for theater, radio, and TV, chamber and orchestral works, Christian music for choir, as well as numerous popular songs and ballads.

His compositions are performed and recorded by famous musicians from different countries. They are featured on Radio and TV in Belarus, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and USA. Magalif’s music was performed at many festivals, prestigious concert halls, and occasions.
