Program Notes

Boo! This spooky composition tells the tale of Emily, a ghost who is responsible for mysterious disturbances in the bandroom and auditorium. The flutes represent Emily as other sections in the band randomly click their instrument's keys or valves or blow air through the instruments to make a whooshing sound. Percussive effects add to the eeriness of the plaintive melody. So, do you believe in ghosts?
