Elegy and Affirmation was written in memory of legendary composers Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein for their invaluable contributions to the continuing evolution of American music.
Elegy and Affirmation was commissioned by the Croswell-Lexington (Michigan) High School Symphonic Band, Jeffery Ehardt, director.
