Egbert van Groningen
Biography
Egbert van Groningen is a Dutch composer, trombonist and conductor.
He began studying music at a school when he was seven years old. He then went to the Enschede Conservatory, where he studied trombone. He earned a diploma in 1996 in orchestral playing and euphonium. Van Groningen plays alto and tenor trombone in the Ensemble Conservatoire, an ensemble that specializes in performing oratorios with chorus. He also plays with the Holland Symphony, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Air Force, and the Orchestra in Oosten.
