Program Notes
Dreams an original composition by Derek Maseloff. Dreams opens with ethereal and cloudy chords that gently sit beneath a syncopated texture from double reeds, all to complement the therapeutic and cinematic text that the narrator recites: “Dream like it’s your last breath.” This introspective piece asks listeners to reflect on their dreams and aspirations -- for themselves and for the world.
