Program Notes

Dynamic yet delicate might be used to describe this fine work. A solidly scored allegro opens the piece and is followed by a moving andante section. After a repeat of the opening section, the composition concludes with dramatic tutti chords accompanied by the hammering rhythm of the French horns.
