Program Notes
Paleontology is one of my many interests. The Devonian period was known as the "age of fish". The Dunkleosteus was the apex predator of the time, with guillotine-like bone plate teeth and a tremendous and terrifying body plan that was unlike anything we have today.
Every transposition in four-part harmony is available in the flex arrangement so any group of musicians can play this piece.
