Derrick Hegeman

Biography

Derrick Hegeman (b. 25 June 1995, Ashville, N.C.) is an American composer, euphoniumist and student.

Hegeman is a classically trained composer and euphoniumist with his bachelor's degree in Music Composition from Keene State College. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters of Music in contemporary film/media composition at The Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., studying under Dave Rivello and Mark Watters. Mr. Hegeman has had over twenty works performed, ranging from chamber ensemble, full orchestra, concert band, as well as electronic compositions.
