Biography

Cristian Axt (b. 1978, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine-Italian composer and pianist.

Mr. Axt studied with Giuseppe Corsaro and Andrés Pedro Risso.

Axt is currently [2022] based in Vienna, Austria. This city's towering musical field and prominent care of the environmental sphere inspired him to create Green Affaire, an association that promotes caring for the environment from a novel artistic perspective. It does so through original musical and audiovisual production, plus the organization of concerts and related events.

Axt's works include symphonic, chamber and ballet music, as well as a heterogeneous fusion of genres. His personal agenda expands towards comprehensive musical production to advance the purposes of Green Affaire (which may also be labeled "Green Music of Vienna"). Part of the involvements of this organization include recordings of Axt's compositions by prominent European artists.

Next to his composer’s career, he worked as professional pianist for ballet classes at Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires and currently at the Ballet Academy of Vienna State Opera.
