Program Notes

World-renowned composer Joseph Turrin has shown mastery of the wind band medium at the most difficult levels, but here he shows that he is equally comfortable writing for middle school bands as well. This delightful march-like processional is full of tuneful melodies and enough harmonic twists and turns to keep everyone on their toes.

Commissioned by the Franklin Middle School Band, Somerset, N.J., Dan Halpern, Daniel Berz, David Millers, directors. Thanks to a grant from the Franklin Fund for Educational Excellence.
