Program Notes

This work is a musical tribute that exudes inspiration at every turn. Beginning in a spirited manner, the time signature changes back and forth from 6/8 to 2/4, pulsating with vigor under a lilting melody. This energy lessens into a slow section, featuring a flowing and expressive melody before the brief, fast and rousing finale.
