Program Notes

Named after both Columbia, the female personification of the New World and the United States, and the city of Columbia, Missouri, this exciting work is sure to be an audience favorite. Hints of Americana, quartal harmony, soaring brass lines with multiple tonguing features, fiery percussion, and sparkling woodwind flourishes abound in this work that will make a dramatic statement.
