Program Notes

Inspired by a late winter trip to the Oregon coast, The Coast in Winter rises and falls, as the ferocious waves with “king tides” pound the coast. The experience evokes conflicting emotions of fascination, melancholy, and joy. Whether it’s a walk on the cold and windy beach watching the crashing waves against the rocks, exploring icy caves along the icy caves of the great lakes, or curing up with a good book, the coast in winter is a special place.
