Program Notes

A gentle and sensitive setting of the famous Brahms melody which features a trumpet solo (cued in flute and oboe). Swearingen’s lush harmonization makes this a superior piece for developing tone quality and expressive phrasing concepts while providing an appealing and popular concert piece.

A Child's Lullaby was written for Abby - Born January 7, 1996.
