Program Notes

Celebration of Life is an evocative composition that uses characteristic melodies to depict aspects of Jewish culture. A special feature of the work is the inclusion of sung passages which express both the painful suffering and joyful hope that have been part of the history of the Jewish people.

Originally written for Sydney, Australia's Moriah College High School Concert Band and their conductor, Roberta Goot.
