Program Notes
Jacob's music reflects his love for simple lyrical, folk-like melodies and craftman-like orchestration. Celebration Overture, based on 10,000 Men of Harvard, was Gordon Jacob's last completed work. It was written for the 65th anniversary concert of the Harvard University Wind Band
