Program Notes

A bold, forceful and solid overture with lots of appeal. The strong outer sections in D minor contrast very nicely with the lyrical center section in Bb Major, providing a composition which will show off the band at its best. This appealing work has been adapted by the composer to make it more accessible for bands with limited instrumentation.
