Program Notes

From the pen of Aric Branchfield comes this exotic and exciting work that conveys the drama of the high seas in the days of pirates and buccaneers. It is just the work to capture the imaginations and emotions.

- Program Note from publisher

Sure to engage young musicians, this interesting composition allows performers and audiences alike to imagine pirates sailing the high seas. Black sails were a signal method used by pirates to indicate that if a ship were to be boarded the crew and passengers would be released unharmed, but resistance would result in destruction of the ship and all on board.
