Bilin Zheng

Biography

Bilin Zheng (b. 1993) is a Chinese composer and graduate student at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee [2018], where she studied with Jonathan Bailey Holland and Eun Young Lee. Previously she studied at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China.

Bilin explores different styles in her music and utilizes materials like Chinese folk songs in her compositions, based on her interest in ethnomusicological research. Her compositions range is size from full orchestra to solo works, Chinese and Western instruments, and vocal music.

She recently won the Boston Conservatory Wind Ensemble Competition.
