Program Notes

Commissioned by North Alps Symphonic Band Euphonium Tuba Ensemble in 2015, this work promotes the warm, rich characteristic sound of the instruments. It depicts a warm and yet clear breeze from Mount Fuji “Ai no kaze” (ai wind) at the beginning of the summer season. It was rearranged into a flexible ensemble for mid- to low-voiced wind instruments.
