If you’ve ever heard or performed this writer’s best- selling Momentations (Spears), you will love this one. From the gorgeous chorale-like opening, and slow lyrical moments that proceed through the highly dramatic and colorful allegro sections, this is Spears at his best.
Axon was commissioned by the Adamson Band Program of Rex, Georgia and is dedicated to the Adamson Junior High symphonic Band, W. Edward Davis, conductor.
