Program Notes

Death, on the one hand, is a terrible reality that has no beauty. On the other hand, death can be necessary for more abundant life to occur. Dying can be a beautiful process and autumn reminds me of that reality.

This piece has a calmness to it that allows dying to take place. Various melodies are also used to "sing in" life to an environment of death.
