Program Notes

This great-sounding Sousa-style march pays tribute to the historical site located on the Potomac River and Aquia Creek. During the Civil War, it was a pivotal transportation point for both the North and the South. The tuneful melody provides a nice drum break, plus flute trills in the trio to make it sound like a good old-fashioned march.
