Program Notes

"Aphelion" is the point in the orbit of a planet, asteroid, or comet at which it is the furthest from the sun.

In this work, I attempt to capture some of the misery and excitement of our solar system. This work was inspired by my love for the music of John Coltrane, Gustav Holst, and Astor Piazzolla.

For Dr. Barbara Favorito.
