Program Notes

Prepare yourself, because as you can guess from the title, things are about to get weird! Multiple time signatures, funky rhythms, and unexpected jazz harmonies are featured with a slick, ultra-cool fast-rock backbeat. The title of this piece was inspired by the composer's middle school band students in the low brass and woodwind sections, who call themselves "The Angry Beavers." The Angry Beavers finally have a melody to play that is worthy of their amazing abilities!
