Program Notes
Anamnese is inspired by confused, blurred memories that come and go. A very close relative of mine suffers from a neurological disease that sometimes affects her memory and this piece mirrors what I feel when I try to follow her thoughts.”
Anamnese was written in 2019 and premiered in August of the same year, at the Gravissimo (Low Brass) Festival, in Alcobaça, Portugal, under its director and trombonist Hugo Assunção.
