Based on the folk tune “The Wayfaring Stranger”, Huckeby’s unique arrangement presents the well known melody in a variety of contrasting settings that make it a great program piece.
American Folk Fantasia was commissioned for and is dedicated to the the 1997 Albemarle County High School Honors Band, Charlottesville, Virginia.
