Program Notes
Amazonas is a stately march with a distinctly Latin flavor. In Amazonas, Salutari follows traditional march form with an added repeat of the introduction and first two strains. Contrasting with many American circus and military marches, Amazonas displays beautiful flowing melodies and a gentle feel without the often-heard bombastic flourishes.
