Program Notes

All for One, One for All is a concert march written for younger players. Overall, it is meant to portray unity and the idea of working together for common goals. The phrase is probably most recognized from the book The Three Musketeers, written by the French author Alexandre Dumas. In the book, the main characters use the phrase as their motto. Generally speaking, it means that the group will support each of the individual members, and the individual members will in turn pledge to support the group. All in all, it is important for people of all ages to remember that a sense of unity can make a difference in our attitudes and how we accomplish goals. Let us be united, rather than divided!
