Biography

"Alfred R. Stevenson" is a pseudonym for Stefan Rothschopf (b. 20 September 1973, Obervellach, Austria), an Austrian composer, arranger and conductor.

Rothschopf studied concert band conducting at the Carinthian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt and composition under Karl Safaric, Thomas Doss and Franz Kühnel. Numerous master classes led him a.o. to H. Robert Reynolds, Maurice Hamers, Jan Kober, Dennis Johnson, Felix Hauswirth, Jan Van der Roost and Karolos Trikolidis.

The emphasis of his work is in the symphonic wind orchestra, by which he has always been fascinated.
