Program Notes

This piece was written to honor the birth of my son Alexander in 1995.

The first three notes can be held as an introduction and tempo de valse should start on beat 1 of the second measure. The middle section works best if directed in 3/4, but should return to waltz tempo at measure 116. The cymbal crashes in the last sections should be loud enough to be exciting for the audience to enjoy.
