Alarm is a bombastic work that creates a sense of danger, urgency, excitement, and panic. The frequent use of dissonance, tritones, and syncopated rhythms combine to create a thrilling experience for performers and audiences.

This work was commissioned by the Timberview School District (Colorado Springs, Colorado).
